White Mountains of Show Low Arizona
the man who stayed behind to fight the fire.

Cinder, an Arizona Hells Angel laid his life down on the Rodeo-Chediski fire that destroyed more then 460,000 acres of forestland and burned down 430 homes and a number of businesses.

If not for Cinder and his bulldozing buddies on the fire line the loss could have been a great deal more.

Not only was Cinder thinking of his own family, business and home but the many other families and businesses in his community and beyond.

I feel he saved many other small communities that the fires path wanted to take, including the little Village's of McNary, Greer and Nutrioso in which I live.

I would like to thank Cinder and all the others for their hard work and dedication.

I would like to close this editorial comment by saying the Hells Angels had a saying back in the 60's-it goes:

When We Do Right - No One Remembers

When We Do Wrong - No One Forgets

Cinder, we are not forgetting.
